Here are some frequently asked questions about Datacraft, our stock and investing in the company:

Which exchange is Datacraft Asia listed and what is the trading symbol?
Datacraft Asia is currently listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SES) under the trading symbol of DatacrftUS$. However we are referred as DAT SP on Bloomberg and DCFT.SI on Reuters.

Please go to SES website to access a comprehensive archive of Datacraft Asia's past announcements and financial information including half- and full- year earnings numbers.

Can we buy your stock in the US?
We are not listed in any form on any of the North American exchanges at this time. You are advised to consult your local broker or financial consultant on how you could purchase shares in Singapore. Non-Singapore citizens are allowed to buy shares in companies on the Singapore Stock Exchange and there are no foreign ownership restrictions on Datacraft Asia Ltd shares

What are Datacraft's key strategies to ensure a good return to shareholders?
Management works hard to maintain a high level of return on equity and return on invested capital, that clearly exceeds the group's cost of equity and overall weighted cost of capital. Datacraft has been able to maintain a healthy return in excess of the cost of capital for all the years of operation.

Why is there a scrip dividend scheme and what are the reasons for setting it up?
Although the actual amount of dividend paid out is small, the scheme was put in place primarily to enhance the company's ability to retain cash for funding the future growth of the company.

For shareholders, benefits also include the ability to acquire additional shares without incurring transaction costs such as brokerage fees.

What is Datacraft's dividend policy?
The amount of dividend paid is determined by the board of directors each year. Currently, the board of directors do not have an explicit dividend policy.

However, it is unlikely that the dividend will be increased significantly from current levels. The directors believe that company is still in a rapid-growth stage and that shareholders interests are best served by re-investing the cash generated from operations to generate further growth and thus enhancing the capital value of shareholders' investment in the company.

Is the dividend paid in kind or cash?
It is normally paid in cash. Howeever, you can also opt for our scrip dividend scheme in which you receive shares in lieu of the cash.

The pricing for the scrip dividend will be fixed at a later date. You will be receiving a notice asking if you wish to opt for this.

Please note that odd-lot volumes on the Singapore Stock Exchange is relatively low and that the standard board lot for Datacraft Asia is 1000 shares.

Is the cash dividend tax exempt as declared?
It is tax-exempt for shareholders in that there is no tax deducted at the source, i.e. Datacraft Asia, and the full dividend amount is paid to the shareholders. This is quite straightforward for Singapore tax-resident shareholders.

But for the shareholder who is not Singapore tax-resident, you may potentially be subject to other taxes e.g. withholding taxes, depending on the tax treaties between Singapore and your country. We would strongly suggest that you consult your tax consultant on this matter.
